Then I end the day curled up on the couch with a book trying to enjoy the moment. And that&#8217;s \u201call\u201d that I did. And that is enough.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All of the tiny critics shouting at me telling me to do more, to be more, to achieve more, those are lies. Because I am fully loved, not for what I do, but because of who I am.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I am a child of God. I am a daughter of the King.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>God loves my husband and my children immensely more than I am even capable of. Which is hard to even understand. But whether I can comprehend it or not, He truly does. God loves me before I begrudgingly pull myself out of bed, on sick days, and grumpy mornings. His Abundant Love anchors me in Truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>I asked God to meet me this weekend.<\/strong> To meet me here in my own home. Like He did on my trip to London. And I feel that peace and that refreshment that I had in London. I feel that grounding and security. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.embracinghome.blog\/index.php\/2021\/03\/23\/london-trip\/\">(You can read about that here.)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And with that foundation, I have a desire to speak goodness and love to those around me. To be kind in a way that I normally feel other people don\u2019t deserve. Being grounded with God takes some of the selfishness away from me. I looked through my bookshelf to see what books I had read specific to this topic.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It made me laugh how many there were.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It takes me a while to learn something well. To let it sink down in the cracks of my soul and feel it is true.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Books I Recommend:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Maybe one of these titles will speak to you and help you believe you are enough as a child of God.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Grace, Not Perfection by Emily Ley<\/strong> \u2013 This book is beautiful to look at and easy to read with little distractions running about. She is great at getting to the point, giving practical help, and being real with her story.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Shalom Sistas by Osheta Moore<\/strong> \u2013 the tagline is: Living Wholeheartedly in a Brokenhearted World. Chapter 6 \u201cCoffee Shop Alias\u201d is all about being Enough. So very good! Some of my favorite quotes: \u201cShalom is what happens when the love of God meets our most tender places.\u201d p.31 \u201cSweet Sista, what words have you attached to your soul that try to limit your identity and force you to live with shame?\u201d p.78&nbsp;(I have a short version of her Shalom Sista Manifesto on my bathroom wall and I read it every morning.)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em>I am Beautiful.<\/em><\/li><li><em>I am beloved by God.<\/em><\/li><li><em>I am enough.<\/em><\/li><li><em>I will see the beauty in others.<\/em><\/li><li><em>I can choose rest.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" id=\"block-56427589-dce0-49ce-b930-eb0e429403ec\"><li><em>I will live wholehearted.<\/em><\/li><li><em>I will build bridges, not walls.<\/em><\/li><li><em>I will tell better stories and do ordinary acts of peace.&nbsp;<\/em><\/li><li><em>I will show up, say something, and be still.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Embraced by Lysa Terkeurst <\/strong>\u2013 This is a devotional with 100 short devotions that took me about a year to finish because I didn\u2019t read it every day. There are sections with titles like: \u201cEmbracing the Fullness Found Only In Him\u201d and \u201cEmbracing Him in the Midst of Hurt &amp; Heartbreak\u201d.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Present Over Perfect by Shauna Niequest<\/strong> \u2013 This book I listened to as an audiobook. I spent time listening while folding laundry, nodding my head while driving, and stopping to take notes in my journal.&nbsp;Well written and very applicable.&nbsp;She met me where I was at.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Becoming Myself by Stasi Eldredge<\/strong> \u2013 This book goes deep into past hurt and pain and how it shapes our current life. It took me some time to read and work through, but it was worth it.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Teaching From Rest by Sarah Mackenzie<\/strong> \u2013 The tag line is \u201cA Homeschooler\u2019s Guide to Unshakable Peace\u201d. I read this book every year in February when I feel overwhelmed and frustrated with my homeschooling or my parenting. She gently reminds me that what is most important is not the output but the relationship we have with our kids.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>A Million Little Ways by Emily P. Freeman<\/strong> \u2013 This book was also on audio and read by Emily P. Freeman herself. She became a friend who walked along with me as she gradually lead me to believe in my worth again. I felt seen as I listened to her book and biblical truth filled my heart with courage and kindness for myself. My favorite quote: \u201cWe must be confident in our choices. In our brave yes or our solid no. When she hears a hymn with the words \u201cchild of God\u201d let her heart shout AMEN!\u00a0<\/p><p>Give her the identity of your beloved daughter. Give her the confidence of someone who is fully loved.\u00a0<\/p><p>Let the love and strength that You give us heal our broken hearts. Speak to our pain and weaknesses. You are gentle and kind. You lead us to better places. Show us our next steps.
