My September Personal Curriculum

A recording from April Edwards’s live video – here is the link for the Substack post with the video.

A quick tour of my personal curriculum basket and what I am focusing on this September (and honestly probably most of October).

After writing this post about creating a personal curriculum, I felt convicted to create more structure to my own learning.

I have done this practice off and on for the last 20 years. Some seasons it takes on more planning and intentional curriculum mapping, while others it is haphazard and more random. Until recently I just didn’t realize that it had a name or a movement behind it. 😜 (the TikTok trend started with Elizabeth Jean)

This fall I wanted to create a fresh list in my Personal Learning notebook with subjects I am focusing on.

I have had some random gaps in my schedule lately and this basket is putting that time to good use and making me feel like alive in new ways.

[note: this post is NOT sponsored, I just want to share what I’m using and how]

I am excited to see where this learning journey takes me this month (and probably some of October).

I am also looking ahead to see what my focus will be for the rest of the fall season. I might do more seasonal focused books or maybe base some choices off of our current History unit in our homeschool. I haven’t decided yet.

For now, I will see how much reading and progress I make on these materials. 😁
