My name is April Edwards.
I live in the Arizona desert with my husband Jim and our 4 amazing kids (ages 8 to 18 years old). I enjoy teaching my kids and helping others with homeschooling. Learning and sharing are life-giving to me.
My professional life: After college, I was a 5th grade teacher in Mesa Public Schools. Then I became a stay-at-home mom. I started homeschooling more than 14 years ago. I have taught in 17 different co-op classes with a variety of kids.
Daily Life: In the afternoons, you will find me on the couch with a non-fiction book and tea. I also enjoy long walks in our neighborhood, writing, cooking homemade meals, bullet journaling, and doing farm chores.
We like to pack up the RV and explore the Southwest on weekends. We also play board games as a family, read great books, and try out new hobbies with the kids. Creativity and adventure are part of our family culture.
